Ethan Donovan, is quite the odd kid. A dangerous odd. In other words, he’s insane. He suffers from paranoia, and doesn’t get along to well with others. The only person that understands him, is his twin sister Marissa. He is also a firm believer in the supernatural world, and it isn’t afraid to share it to the world. He longs to be a vampire hunter, but the Saltzmans don’t think he’s in a good mental state for that.

Ethan is continously picked on by his younger sister, Mariah. She is very crude to him. He dreams of suicide, but Marissa always stops him from that. He longs to be loved.

When Elena was still a youthful teenager, she and Stefan had a huge fight about her future. Some words were said, things were done, and they decided never to speak to one another. To keep Elena safe. Stefan left Mystic Falls, but would always check on the lovely doppelganger, every ten years or so. He saw her children, grandchildren, and basically her whole life. From a distance, of course. He was when Elena was on her death bed, as an old woman. He held her hand, as she drew her last breath. Out raged and broken, he went on a total murder rampage, and even turned one of Elena’s grandchildren. Out of this deathly spirit, he found himself in San Francisco, California. That’s where he met Blaire. As more of rebound, he fell in love with the girl, in a matter of weeks. He turned her, wanting to be with her forever. But, tempted like the rest, he wanted to check out the new doppelganger. But as he meets Marissa, will he fall for yet another doppelganger?

Over the years, Stefan has changed. He’s a bit colder, and a lot more sarcastic. He’s currently in a relationship with Blaire Welch, but who knows how long that will last. He secretly wants to kill Marissa, but can’t, either because of Klaus, or because of the resemblance of Elena.
